続いてのPlanex VR500ネタです。
OpenWrt trunk (kernel 4.4.14)で使用できる様に準備。


OpenWrt trunk (kernel 4.4.14)用のパッチになります。
OpenWrt本家へもパッチ投稿済みになります。

リブート時に再起動できない問題が存在します。
VR500に搭載されているSPI Flashは4byte modeで使用するのですが、再起動時に3byte modeに戻っておらず、起動できない状態が発生します。
SPI Flashの4byte modeからの復帰に関する問題修正については、投稿したパッチには含めていません。
既に既知の問題であり、マージされない状態が長く続いているというモノです。
とりあえずは、以下パッチも当ててビルドする様にして下さい。

Planex VR500のハードウェアスペックは、OpenWrtで遊ぶには嬉しい構成となっている。

USB 3.0とUSB 2.0を搭載。(最近のハイエンド機種はUSB 3.0が1個だけ付いている機種が多い中、USB 2.0も搭載しているので、片方をストレージ、片方を別で利用できるという嬉しい構成)
また、最近日本メーカーでは減ってしまったメタル筐体仕様。
無線非搭載モデル。(OpenWrtで愉しむには日本ではかなり重要。これならいろんな処で発表したりするにも変な説明が必要なく便利。)

今回は、SPI Flashの安定化を図る為、少し大きなパッチとなっている。

SPI Flashのドライバに手を加えているのみで、後は素のChaos Calmerになります。

(initramfs-kernel.binは、Flash書き込み用の踏み台と考えてください。純正ファームウェアの管理画面で流し込めます。)

いつ始まったのか見逃してました。
RSオンライン(日本)で、ラズベリーパイ3 ACアダプタセットが販売開始された模様。
安心の公式電源アダプタが、やっと扱い開始ですか。
御一人様1台限りとなっているので、まだまだ数は入れてないのかな。
お値段は、6,120円。電源が付いての値段なので一番安いと言っていいのかもしれない。
電源は別を使いたい場合は、秋葉原で買った方が安いというのが正直な処だろうか。
Raspberry Pi 3 Bモデル単体での小売りはまだ始まらない様なので、その時にどれぐらいの値段になるのかが気になる処。

08/11(木)～08/15(月)の間の後半戦。
函館から青森への戻りはフェリーにしてみました。
青函フェリー。
五稜郭駅から、フェリー乗り場まで30分程歩くので、こちらもあまり扱いやすいとは言い難い。

思いつきで、08/11(木)～08/15(月)の間、北に旅に出ました。
今回は18切符ではなく、北海道＆東日本パスを使いました。
連続7日間使えて、10,850円という東日本より北に限定するのであれば、18切符よりもお得感が満載です。
しかも3セクで利用可能な区間が、18切符よりも広い。

注意する箇所は、購入時に使用期間を決めてしまう点だろうか。
任意の連続7日間とはいかないので、直前に購入するか、事前に計画して購入するかしないといけない。
僕は思いつきで、前日の夜に購入した。
