予定通り、Sparc版も出てます。
が、InstallCDでは無くAIでした。

今回の目玉は、やはりCrossbowでしょうか。
ちなみに、CrossbowはNIC上に仮想NICを作成する機能。
Sparc対応は、サポート機種も少ないのでまだまだ利用できる人は少ないかもですね。
さて、ダウンロードも完了しましたのでインストール開始します。

2009/5/30 2:30～3:15頃、本サーバへのアクセス障害が発生致しました。
今回の障害発生は、HDD異常が原因と思われます。
皆々様ご迷惑をお掛けし申し訳ございません。

2:30頃
　・HDDの書き込みエラーが発生している事が判明。
　・/usrがReadOnlyとなっている事からリマウントを施行するが改善せず。
2:40頃
　・サーバ再起動を実施。
2:55頃
　・HDDが熱を持ちすぎている為、熱暴走かとPCケースを開放。
　・起動してくる様子がない為、ディスプレイを接続しローカル画面確認。
　・fsck()でエラー多発。
3:10頃
　・サーバ起動完了。
　・アクセス確認完了。

CentOS5.3 1CDのパッケージ構成を少し変えました。
Gnomeを消して、各サーバ系パッケージとXen追加しました。
さすがに1CDで、Gnomeはいらんだろというわけで。。。
これでCentOS4系まで存在していたServerCDに近いイメージになったと思います。
ついでにアップデートパッケージに差し替えています。

自分がML115に入れるときに、1CDの方が便利なので用意してるだけですが。。。
DVD版をダウンロードするのは面倒、DVDドライブ付けてない、ただなんとなく。大歓迎です。

久々にSlackwareに動きがありました。
次期バージョンにて本家で64bit対応となるようです。

Ready or not, Slackware has now gone 64-bit with an official x86_64 port being maintained in-sync with the regular x86 -current branch. DVDs will be available for purchase from the Slackware store when Slackware 13.0 is released. Many thanks go out to the Slackware team for their help with this branch and a special thank you to Eric Hameleers who did the real heavy lifting re-compiling everything for this architecture, testing, re-testing, and staying in-sync with -current.

今までは、64bitでSlackwareを利用するには、Slack64など利用する形となっていましたが、本家対応とは！
今まで64bit対応していなかった事にも驚きではありますが（汗
Slackware 13.0のリリースがいつ頃になるか不明ですが、楽しみであります。

CentOS5.3の1CDを作りつつ疑問。。。
CentOS5.3のインストーラのパッケージグループ選択画面で、Virtualizationが表示されない。
CD内にRPMパッケージは存在するし、comps.xmlにも記述は存在している。
悩みつつ、anacondaのコードを読んでみる事にしました。

わかればなんて事はない。
yuminstall.pyにそれらしい記述があります。
対応しているか判定しているなんて、anacondaも賢くなったものです。

ちなみに私、Python読むのはAnacondaが初めてであります。

Vmware ESXi 4.0がダウンロード可能になっています。（正確には、vSphereなんですかね？）
さっそく入れてみました。使用マシンは、HP ML115G5。
何も細工なしで導入できました。

まだ、実際にVM構築してないですが使用感
・コンソールは、3.5のもので接続した際には勝手に4.0に差し替えてくれてしまいます。
・3.5と異なり、まともに日本語化された。。。
・仮想ディスク作成時、thinディスクの選択ができたり。
・仮想マシンタイプのバージョンがアップされて、選択できる仮想ハードが増えた。
・操作性は同様。
全体として検証環境として使うには便利になった感。

3.5のサーバにも4.0のクライアントで接続できるので、両バージョン稼動中でも管理端末側は意識する必要なさそうです。

痛鯖（イタサバ）キット。
Express5800/110Ge WindowsServer2008Foundationバンドルで、痛鯖（イタサバ）キットがついてくる。
らしいです。NTT-X Storeで。
現在は、予約受付中の様です。

ML115とWindows2008のセットなら買ったけど。。。

予想より早かったRed Hat Enterprise Linux 4.8です。

私は、CentOS4.8待ちです。

Linux慣れした私は、やはりbashです。Solarisを使っていても、bash使います。

で、FreeBSDでもbash使いたいので、パッケージ追加して、/etc/passwd書き換えても変更されず。。。
おかしいと思ったらコマンド用意されてるんですね。。。

# pkg_add -r bash
# chsh -s /usr/local/bin/bash
chsh: user information updated

なんとなく、/etc/master.passwdも一緒に書き換えればイイだけな気もしますが。。。
Linuxの/etc/shadowみたいなものかな。。。

しかし、RedHat系使い慣れると、/usr/localにガスガス導入されるのが違和感です。

WebminをFreeBSDで動かしてみた。
久々のFreeBSDって事で、/usr/localにApacheとか入ってしまったのが違和感です。。。

pkg_addで追加しただけでは、起動スクリプト登録されないなんて。。。
/etc/rc.confに追記して。。。

apache22_enable="YES"
apache22_http_accept_enable="YES"
webmin_enable="YES"

とりあえず、自動起動もするので問題ない訳ですがLinuxに慣れると、ほんと違和感。。。
下の画像は、WebminにFreeBSDのテーマ追加してます。
