NetScreen 5XTのファームウェアアップデートしました。
3.0.3r1.4という骨董品状態から、5.0.0r11に上げました。
インターフェイスがガラッと変わってしまいました。。。

ブラウザで、サクッとできてしまうのは良くできてるというか、Firewall製品としてどこの会社でも見るぐらい良く使われてる訳ですね。
ちなみに、アップデート時にシリアルコンソール側はこんな感じになってました。
初期ユーザとパスワードは、毎度の如くnetscreen/netscreenですね。

ウィルコムが2010年2月18日、東京地裁に会社更生法の適用を申請したそうです。
とりあえず、PHSの利用に問題は無い様です。

HYBRID W-ZERO3なら、SIMカードも刺さるので、softbankで使える様になったりするのかも（笑
ちなみにHYBRID W-ZERO3には、SIMスロットが2個付いてます。
僕はまだ、FOMAカードしか刺した事無いですけど。。。
そのうち、softbankのカード刺してみようと思ったら、iPhoneだからカードが違った。。。

良い子は真似しちゃいけません。Netra X1のオーバークロックです。
x86系であればオーバークロックは普通ですが、Sparc機でも可能なのです。
所有しているNetra X1は通常UltraSPARC IIe 400MHz機なのですが、ジャンパを弄る事で600MHz動作できました。
ジャンパJP7 Speed Select Jumper Settingsを弄ります。（CPU FANの電源近くにあるヤツです）

1-2をOutにすれば+50MHz。
3-4をOutにすれば+100MHz。
5-6をOutにすれば+200MHz。

LOMとOBPのパッチ適用してから、機嫌が悪いようで。
Netra X1で、CentOS 5.1のCDがブートしなくなりました。
もちろん、OpenSolaris(Text Installer)も起動せず。

CentOS 4.2betaのCDは起動する。
Solaris9のCDは起動しない。
Solaris8のネットワークインストールは問題なし。。。

CentOS 5.1のCDは、以下でフリーズ。。。なんで？
OBP 4.0.6から4.0.18にあげたのって、そんなに問題あります？

Netra X1では起動できなかったOpenSolaris Text-Installerを別マシンで試してみました。
Netra t1 200です。
見事起動しました。

Netra X1で起動できない理由が不明です。
今回、SCSIディスクでWARNINGが発生しているので、もしかしてNetra X1ではIDEディスクなのが問題？
それとも、繋げたCDドライブが問題？
OBPもNetra X1側はバージョンアップしているので、バージョンが低い訳ではなさそう。。。

HYBRID W-ZERO3をUSBで接続してモデム代わりに使おうとしたら。
新しいハード検出、WS027SH RNDISのドライバが見つかりません。
。。。

マニュアル見てみたら、「ActiveSync 4.5」または「Windows Mobile デバイスセンター」を導入しろと記載が。
ActiveSync 4.5入れて繋ぐと、「ローカル エリア接続」が一個追加されました。
表示が10Mbpsの回線って違和感ありますが、仕様なのだろぅ。
接続中は、充電もしてくれるので電池切れもなくて良さげです。
接続速度は、500kbps程度で推移。遅すぎないかい？
大手町のど真ん中だから遅いのだろうか？3G回線使う様に設定してるのだがなぁ。

所有しているNetra X1のOBPが4.0.6と古かったため、Solaris9以上ではエラーが出るなど問題がありまして。。。
OpenSolaris化の為、Solaris8環境を用意しPROMのバージョンアップしました。

Netra X1 を Solaris 9 で起動するとエラーメッセージが表示される (BugID 4663358)
一部の Netra X1 システムは、Solaris 9 を使う前に、Solaris 8 で PROM パッチを充てておく必要があります。
Netra X1 を Solaris 9 で起動するときに、次のエラーメッセージが表示されることがあります。

8台切替のKVMスイッチを固定してみました。
棚に載せてるのは邪魔だったので、メタルラックにぶら下げてみました。
意外にも扱いやすい設置方法です。下のスペースに15インチぐらいのディスプレイなら置けそぅだし。
